THE MIDWEEK EXHALE
a gentle pause in the middle of the week
Every Wednesday at 7:30pm UK, Sharyn with a Why and Marie Doherty open a free online breathwork session. Birdsong first. Then breath. Then silence.
No experience needed. No commitment required. Just curiosity and an hour of your Wednesday.
It has been running every week without interruption. It is always free. It is always open.
JOIN THE MIDWEEK EXHALEYou found your way here.
Maybe through curiosity. Maybe through exhaustion. Maybe because something in you has been asking a question you haven’t quite found words for yet.
Whatever brought you – you are welcome here.
The Exhale Awakening is a breathwork practice led by Sharyn with a Why and Marie Doherty. If you want to understand how it all connects, The TEA Tree is a good place to begin. We work online and in person, in small groups and in stillness, with those who are new to breath and those who have been breathing consciously for years.
There is no right way to arrive. There is no pace you are supposed to be keeping. The only rule in this space is to be comfortable.
If you find yourself wanting to understand the shape of the whole school, the Celtic Breathwork Exhale Wisdom School is where the map lives.
the breath that started it
Sharyn with a Why has been facilitating breathwork for over a decade. Her sessions are rooted in the Celtic tradition, shaped by the seasons, and held with the kind of unhurried attention that lets something genuinely shift.
She created The Exhale Awakening because she knew breathwork could be something other than performance – quieter, older, more honest than most of what she saw in the world.
That is still what she is building.
the voice that holds the room
Marie Doherty brings a depth of somatic and relational knowledge to everything she facilitates. Her presence in a session is steady, unhurried, and deeply felt.
As co-founder of The Exhale Awakening, Marie shapes the training programmes, tends the practitioner community, and brings a rigour to the work that never loses its warmth.
She is the reason people come back.

IS BREATHWORK FACILITATION CALLING YOU?
a gentle guide for the curious practitioner
Something keeps coming back to you. A sense that this work is not only for you – that you might be here to offer it to others.
If that question is quietly present, this guide was written for it. Not to pressure it into an answer. Just to give it some room.
*Is Breathwork Facilitation Calling You?* is a free PDF guide from Sharyn with a Why and Marie Doherty – honest, unhurried, and written for the person who is wondering rather than decided.
Wherever you are with breath –
whether you’ve never tried it, whether you’ve been practising for years, whether something in you is wondering about teaching it
there is a place here for you.
No rush. No pressure. No right order.
